    School Programs
Recognizing the importance of educating young people about rehabilitation, healthcare professions, and injury prevention, Fairlawn provides several programs designed for elementary and secondary school students as well as community groups serving children and adolescents.

    They include:

  • Feet First, an injury prevention program, includes presentations by healthcare professionals as well as first-hand accounts from individuals with spinal cord and/or brain injuries resulting from high-risk behavior (i.e., unsafe diving practices, drunk driving). Program content targets specific age groups.

  •
  • Hospital Tours / Staff Presentations provide an opportunity for young people to explore specific healthcare careers and learn about physical rehabilitation/disabilities.
