As an acute physical rehabilitation hospital, Fairlawn is equipped to treat patients with a wide range of physical and cognitive deficits caused by stroke. Each of our inpatient stroke rehabilitation programs is designed to meet each individual's specific medical and rehabilitation needs.
Senior and Young Stroke Rehabilitation Programs
Fairlawn's Senior and Young Stroke Rehabilitation Programs provide patients with the comprehensive medical care, intensive therapies, and support services they need to resume productive living.
Fairlawn's Senior Stroke Program is designed to meet the specialized needs of individuals age 65 and older.
Fairlawn's Young Stroke Program provides additional pre-vocational and vocational support services for individuals age 65 and younger.

Severely Impaired" Stroke Rehabilitation Program
When a patient becomes severely impaired as a result of stroke, Fairlawn provides the comprehensive medical management and acute rehabilitation services necessary to ensure maximum recovery.
Goals
Fairlawn's "Severely Impaired Stroke" Program is designed to evaluate a patient's functional and neurologic deficits as well as medical limitations. Following comprehensive assessments, treatment is initiated and initial progress is monitored. With this information, a plan of care is generated to facilitate a patient's maximum potential for recovery and determine the best type of facility needed for continued improvement.

- 24-hour/seven day a week rehabilitation nursing and respiratory therapy
